53 domingos is a comedy written by Cesc Gay that follows the story of three brothers who face a decision that will change their lives: what to do with their 86-year-old father, whose behavior begins to become incomprehensible. What should be an orderly and rational family gathering turns into an emotional time bomb, where an apparently harmless phrase can ignite decades of unresolved tensions. The play explores without filters the dynamics between siblings, the secrets kept and the resentments that emerge when the family comes together. With the humor and sharpness that characterize Gay's work, it reflects a comfortable reflection on age, responsibility, and the bonds that unite and destroy us.
