The Tavern of the Dogs is a costumbrist comedy that takes place at the bar of a neighborhood tavern, where the peaceful life of its bartender, Antonio, is disrupted by the intervention of activists from the Sindicat de Llogateres who set up in front of his establishment to stop an eviction. With the help of Manolo, his most loyal customer, Antonio faces from the bar the major problems of the country and those of his own existence. The play deals with themes of neighborhood, dignity, and everyday resistance in a comedic key.
