CaixaForum València - Àgora, Valencia

Jacqueline du Pré is the English cellist who enchanted the world with her boundless passion and energy and an extraordinary talent. The lecture will explore some of her most unforgettable interpretations, such as the Cello Concerto for Cello and Orchestra by Edward Elgar, as well as her partnership with her husband, the pianist and orchestra conductor Daniel Barenboim, and how her love for music and for life inspired her surroundings. Her brilliant career ended abruptly when multiple sclerosis forced her to retire from the stage.
