Bodas de sangre is an interdisciplinary theatrical production presented by the Cantabrian company Abrego Producciones, which reinterprets the original work of Federico García Lorca. The piece takes place in a solo format, where María Vidal portrays multiple roles, including the voices of Mother, Bride, and Moon, as well as the story of Federico. The production combines theater, flamenco, contemporary dance, and audiovisual creation to explore violence and the cost of freedom, without falling into a nostalgic tribute. The production addresses the wounds of the past that still persist, through three tragedies: the real news that inspired Lorca, the voices of the characters, and the story of Federico.
