Valencia is gearing up for one of the most eagerly awaited celebrations of the year: the 2026 Moors and Christians Festival.

Throughout October, Valencia is filled with colour, fireworks and music in a tribute to history and Mediterranean tradition. But the passion for this festival isn’t limited to those few days; the festive spirit is kept alive all year round with pre-festival events in May and July to get things going.

The Turia Gardens — between the Puente de la Exposición and the Puente de las Flores — will become the setting for the Medieval Market from 2 to 13 October.

It will feature craft stalls, food and drink, and period performances right in the heart of the old riverbed.

A real journey back in time to enjoy with family or friends!

And speaking of performances, you can’t miss the Grand Entry of the Moors and Christians: a grand parade in which the two sides march forward with their squads, music and all the colour of the festival to re-enact the historic battles that give meaning to this celebration.

• Avenida Marqués de Sotelo
• before ending at the junction with Calle Xàtiva, opposite the Estación del Norte and the Plaza de Toros.
